Geotechnical and Geophysical surveying includes investigation of the subsurface to provide information of the soil, rock and ground water, and to detect anomalies within the subsurface. Subsurface investigation is undertaken to determine the capacity of the ground to withstand structural loads of buildings, detect presence of voids and cavities that may pose risk to existing structures and new proposed developments, identify potential risks that may lead to settlement, subside or collapse, and identify potential risk of the soils liquefying in an event of an earthquake.
